2. Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn - 25th Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although not my favorite of the three Evil Dead movies, Evil Dead II provides a fun romp. It mixes horror with campy silliness in a satisfying manner. The Blu-ray offers relatively positive visuals, acceptable audio and a nice array of good supplements. This turns into a nice release for an entertaining flick. Starring Bruce Campbell. Anchor Bay, $14.99,

3. Drag Me To Hell [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Sam Raimi returned to his roots with the wild gross-out horror flick Drag Me to Hell. It didn’t earn a substantial audience, but it did what it needed to do: it created a crazy and entertaining supernatural tale. The Blu-ray offers excellent picture and audio, but unfortunately it skimps on supplements; I like the bonus features we find, but we don’t get

4. The Evil Dead [Blu-Ray] (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For all its legendary status, I must admit I’m not all that wild about Evil Dead. I think it’s entertaining and respect its status as a groundbreaker, but it just doesn’t do a lot for me based on its own merits. The disc provides surprisingly positive picture and sound plus a nice roster of supplements highlighted by a great commentary. Evil Dead isn’t a

5. Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although not my favorite of the three Evil Dead movies, Evil Dead II provides a fun romp. It mixes horror with campy silliness in a satisfying manner. The Blu-ray offers average visuals, erratic audio and some useful supplements. The Blu-ray isn’t a killer package, but it’s perfectly acceptable, and the movie’s entertaining. Starring Bruce Campbell. Anch

6. Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn - Special Edition (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Most of the time Dead II just feels like various acts of monster violence with little purpose. Granted, life works that way sometime; if you're being attacked by undead forces, you may not actually have any kind of general theme to surround those events. Nonetheless, it made the results less stimulating to me, as the movie seemed to go nowhere at times;

I think it’s entertaining and respect its status as a groundbreaker, but it just doesn’t do a lot for me based on its own merits. Starring Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss. 8. Darkman [Blu-Ray] (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though I saw Darkman in 1990, I remembered next to nothing about it over the years since then. There’s a good reason for that: the movie offers a pretty forgettable superhero adventure without much to make it interesting. The Blu-ray delivers decent to good picture and audio along with a nice set of supplements. I feel generally pleased with this release

9. Spider-Man: Deluxe Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As for folks who already own the original two-disc Spider-Man, should they “upgrade” to the Deluxe Edition? No. While I enjoyed the featurettes connected to the film, they only last about half an hour, and that’s not enough content to warrant a new purchase. The DE is the most generally satisfying Spider-Man on the market, but it’s not worth a “double di

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Viewed in its historical context, Dead was a groundbreaking piece of work that deserves a lot of credit.
