Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ahead of its time during the era of its creation, The Third Man still seems innovative and inventive. After almost 70 years, it barely shows its age and remains fresh and wickedly delightful. Starring Orson Welles, Joseph Cotten. Criterion, $39.95, 12/16/2008.

3. Shadow Of A Doubt [4K UHD] (1943)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Apparently Alfred Hitchcock found Shadow of a Doubt to be his favorite of all the flicks he directed. I do not think quite so highly of it, but I like it nonetheless. A quiet, brooding piece, it becomes a real winner. Starring Joseph Cotten, Teresa Wright. Universal, $29.98, 5/10/2022.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Without question, The Third Man belongs in your collection Ė if itís not already there. For those who fail to possess a DVD of the flick, run out and grab this release right now. If you have the old Criterion edition, I can still recommend 2007 two-disc version if you enjoy supplements.
