1. An Education [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In another contrast, An Education boasts its subtlety as both a strength and a weakness. I appreciate its lack of hamfisted qualities but think it could display more vivid emotion at times. Still, some good performances help compensate for the dull patches. The Blu-ray offers very nice picture, satisfactory sound, and a pretty mediocre set of supplements

2. Flightplan (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: All the storytelling concerns mean that I canít offer a glowing recommendation for Flightplan. However, I think itís a lively enough little popcorn flick for me to give it a decent endorsement. Silly as it may be, it delivers an hour and a half of good thrills, and that makes it worthwhile for what it is. Starring Jodie Foster, Peter Sarsgaard. Touchston

3. Rendition (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If it focused more on characters and plot and less on political commentary, Rendition mightíve become more potent. As it stands, the movie has some moments but tends to veer into territory that makes it more like an editorial than a real story ... I canít complain about this fine release, but the film itself doesnít prosper enough for my recommendation.

4. Green Lantern [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Iíve certainly seen worse superhero movies than Green Lantern, Iíve definitely seen many superior flicks. This one musters passable entertainment but never manages to become anything especially exciting. The Blu-ray delivers very good picture plus excellent audio and a reasonably interesting set of supplements. The Blu-rayís a nice release for an o

5. Experimenter [Blu-Ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Pioneering psychological work comes to the fore in the mostly satisfying Experimenter. Though the movie could offer more character development, it still becomes an interesting examination of famous experiments. Starring Peter Sarsgaard, Winona Ryder. Magnolia, $29.98, 1/5/2016.

9. Jackie [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Even with strong acting, Jackie fails to make a strong impression. The movie lacks the depth or introspection it needs to become really meaningful. Starring Natalie Portman, Billy Crudup. Fox, $39.99, 3/7/2017.

10. Orphan [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Since I didnít like the much-loved Omen, maybe I didnít care for Orphan because Iím not a fan of the ďcreepy kidĒ genre. Or maybe Orphan is simply a clumsy attempt at psychological horror that presents no room for interpretation and a total lack of subtlety. Either way, the film fails to engage. The Blu-ray offers very good picture and audio along with s
