111. The Expendables 2 [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The original Expendables felt more like a big concept than an actual movie, and that trend continues with its sequel. The Expendables 2 comes with occasional spurts of entertaining mayhem, but most of it feels bland and lackluster. Starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham. Lionsgate, $14.99, 11/20/2012.

112. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe someday I’ll figure out how Paul Blart: Mall Cop managed to earn $145 million, but right now, I remain utterly befuddled. The movie provides a totally innocuous – and completely forgettable – piece of work that leaves your memory before the credits start to roll ... I think the DVD works fine, but the movie itself is mediocre at best. Starring Kevi

113. Nobody [Blu-Ray] (2021)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a story of an aging badass who tries to get out but finds himself pulled back in, Nobody never becomes especially original. However, the movie pulls off its action and thrills with such style and aplomb that I don’t care. Starring Bob Odenkirk, Christopher Lloyd. Universal, $34.98, 6/22/2021.

114. The Expendables 3 [Blu-Ray] (2014)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After two disappointing action flicks, The Expendables 3 offers a moderately pleasant surprise. While not a great film, it seems friskier and more engaging than its predecessors. Starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham. Lionsgate, $14.99, 11/25/2014.

115. Taken: Extended Cut [Blu-Ray] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At no point does Taken reinvent the action flick wheel, and it often feels like a throwback to the super-violent movies of the 80s. However, it brings a little more humanity to the genre, largely due to an effective performance from Liam Neeson ... This is both an involving movie and a nice release. Starring Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen. Fox, $39.99, 5/12/

116. The Verdict [Blu-Ray] (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Verdict presents a good but not great film. The story has promise, and the actors make it work, but the execution of the plot seems flat and melodramatic much of the time. Still, it works well enough to offer an enjoyable experience. The Blu-ray offers decent picture and audio along with a fairly informative mix of bonus materials. This is an upgrade

117. Serving Sara (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Tacky and overdone, Serving Sara fails to connect in any positive way.

118. James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Thanks to a huge roster of noteworthy participants, James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction offers an entertaining look at the subject matter. Unfortunately, it rushes through each topic so quickly that it can feel superficial. Starring James Cameron, Steven Spielberg. AMC, $34.97, 7/28/2020.

119. Speed [4K UHD] (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 28 years after its release, Speed remains a terrific thrill ride. It may not be the absolute best of its genre, but it resides close to the top, and it provides a fun and exciting experience. Starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock. Fox, $34.99, 5/4/2021.

120. The Verdict: Collector's Edition (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a DVD, this Collector’s Edition of The Verdict offers a nice product. Fans will want to pursue this version, and that goes for those who already own the original release, mainly due to the improvements in visual quality. I like the new extras as well, but the significantly stronger transfer makes this Verdict a winner. Starring Paul Newman, Charlotte
