141. Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Unfortunately, all the great supplements in the world won’t make Lethal Weapon 4 any more entertaining as a movie. It provides a slapdash and limp affair that goes absolutely nowhere and provides a terrible ending to the series. Starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover. Warner, $24.98, 12/15/1998.

142. Solo: A Star Wars Story [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The second franchise spinoff, Solo: A Star Wars Story seems destined to be viewed as a bomb, but the movie actually works pretty well. Director Ron Howard imbues the film with enough adventure and charm to make it an engaging, lively experience. Starring Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover. Disney, $39.99, 9/25/2018.

143. Bruce Springsteen: Born To Run (30th Anniversary Edition) (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Never an artist terribly willing to open his vaults for the fans, Born to Run: 30th Anniversary Edition offers a nice move in that direction from Bruce Springsteen. It offers a good-sounding remastering of the original Born to Run album along with a terrific 1975 concert and an informative documentary. The concert doesn’t present great visuals but it loo

144. Disneyland Secrets, Stories, And Magic (Walt Disney Treasures) (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Sometimes a DVD provides great extras and a mediocre main program. That occurs with Disneyland Secrets, Stories and Magic. The titular documentary is fluffy and frustrating, with average picture and audio quality. However, we get lots of fine supplements here, as we discover loads of fascinating archival elements. Those make this a worthwhile collection

145. The Ten Commandments: Special Collector's Edition (1956)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Fans of the movie should be very pleased with this DVD, but if you’re new to it and just want an interesting Biblical effort, I’d recommend The Prince Of Egypt instead; that animated flick provides a much more compelling and moving look at the life of Moses. As for fans who already own the prior DVD, whether it merits an upgrade depends on their apprecia

146. The Simpsons: The Complete Eighth Season (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I wouldn’t refer to Season Eight of The Simpsons as the series’ best, but it sure offers plenty of fine programs. Only a couple minor duds pop up in this generally strong year. Look for plenty of great material inside this box ... Season Eight of The Simpsons earns yet another recommendation from me. Created by Matt Groening. Fox, $49.98, 8/15/2006.

147. The Simpsons: The Complete Second Season
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Season Two of The Simpsons made me the fan I am today, and the shows hold up very well after more than a decade.

148. Harry Potter Wizard's Collection [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: However, if you love the Potter films enough that you’re willing to spend hundreds of dollars for this box, chances are good that you already own the individual releases, so you’d be forced to repurchase most or all of those. That leaves the “Wizard’s Collection” with an exceedingly limited potential audience: Potter megafans with ample funds who didn’t

149. Superman: The Motion Picture Anthology (1978-2006) [Blu-Ray] (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Superman doesn’t qualify among my favorite comic book adaptations, as I prefer the Batman and Spider-Man movies. Nonetheless, it holds up well after more than 30 years and remains a class act. The Blu-ray provides excellent audio and supplements but suffers from inconsistent visuals. The image issues can frustrate at times, but this remains a very nice r

150. Superman: 4-Disc Special Edition (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While this four-DVD set is clearly the best one on the market, should fans who own the original 2001 release upgrade? Yes, but only if they care about extras and/or prefer to see the movie’s 1978 theatrical cut instead of its Expanded Edition. The 2001 DVD was already a terrific package, but the 2006 release is even better. Starring Marlon Brando, Gene H
