- 42. Batman - The Animated Series: Volume 1 (1992-1995)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An unusually dark and somber show for daytime programming, Batman: The Animated Series proves satisfying for fans of the Dark Knight. This package’s 28 episodes vary in quality, but that’s inevitable, and most of them work quite well. Starring Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill. Warner, $49.98, 7/6/2004.

- 43. Club Dread (2004)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A movie that came out about 20 years too late, Club Dread offers a toothless and tired spoof. We’ve seen too many flicks that covered similar territory, and this one lacks anything new or creative to add. Starring Bill Paxton, Jay Chandrasekhar. Fox, $27.98, 5/25/2004.

- 44. Everything Must Go [Blu-Ray] (2010)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Subdued nearly to a fault, Everything Must Go doesn’t deliver a consistently stimulating effort. However, it has more than a few interesting moments and deserves credit as a movie that grows as it goes. The Blu-ray comes with excellent visuals as well as reasonably good audio and supplements. This one turns into a moderately interesting character piece.

- 46. The Informers [Blu-Ray] (2009)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Good movies about 1980s decadence exist, but The Informers isn’t one of them. Virtually free from a real plot and without memorable characters, the film limps along for its 98 minutes and never threatens to engage the viewer. The Blu-ray provides solid picture quality, mediocre audio and a couple of good supplements. I have no complaints about the Blu-ra

- 47. Hitchcock [Blu-Ray] (2012)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though it had potential to offer an interesting glimpse behind the curtain, instead Hitchcock usually provided a thin character drama. It offers no real insights into its leads and seems like a misguided effort. The Blu-ray brings us solid picture, audio and bonus materials. While this is a good disc, the movie itself becomes a misfire. Starring Anthony

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A sprawling, detailed examination of a pivotal moment in American history, Gettysburg brings the battles to life. It mixes warfare with character moments in a satisfying manner to turn into a nice historical drama. The Blu-ray provides average visuals, good audio and a reasonably nice set of supplements marred mainly by poor implementation of an audio co
