51. Deep Impact [4K UHD] (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At times, Deep Impact offers a reasonably involving and dramatic disaster movie, but it focuses too heavily on bland character drama. Since none of the roles receive enough attention for us to care, this means that the movie often falls flat. Starring Tea Leoni, Morgan Freeman. Paramount, $19.99, 5/2/2023.

52. The Godfather Part II [4K UHD] (1974)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I do not know if I will ever like it as much as its predecessor, but I have begun to appreciate The Godfather Part II more. The film richly deserves its status as a classic, and it may well be the better film of the two. Starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro. Paramount, $89.99, 3/22/2022.

53. Network (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At this point, Network seems better remembered as a catch phrase than as a film, which is an ironic fate for a picture determined to knock such simpleminded behaviors. I found the movie to be a flawed but compelling work that had enough strengths to merit a viewing. Starring Faye Dunaway, William Holden. Warner, $26.98, 2/28/2006.

54. 12 Mighty Orphans [Blu-Ray] (2021)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Nothing about 12 Mighty Orphans offers a creative take on the “inspirational sports story” genre, but it still brings reasonable charm. Partly thanks to a good cast, the movie largely keeps us with it. Starring Luke Wilson, Martin Sheen. Sony, $30.99, 8/31/2021.

55. The Road [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Taken from a highly successful book, The Road promises a rich twist on an old premise. However, it doesn’t offer enough substance to make it worthwhile; it tends to ramble and lacks the heart and depth to keep us with it. The Blu-ray provides very good picture and audio; it doesn’t pack a ton of supplements, but it comes with a terrific audio commentary.

56. Four Christmases (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If anyone could tell me how a film that features Vince Vaughn and five – that’s right, five - Oscar-winning actors could be as awful as Four Christmases, I’d love to hear the explanation. Despite an interesting concept and all that talent, the movie adds up to little more than a collection of violent/gross gags with some phony relationship drama tacked o

57. Apocalypse Now: Triple Feature [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Without question, I recommend Apocalypse Now to all movie fans. Despite my continued disdain for the third act, it deserves its status as a classic. Starring Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen. Lionsgate, $39.95, 10/19/2010.

58. The Godfather (1972)

59. Hearts Of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An unusually provocative “making of” documentary, Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse provides a ringside view of a troubled and difficult production. With greater access than expected, we get to see the good, the bad, and the really ugly. It remains a fascinating piece ... (T)his documentary is too interesting to ignore. It definitely deserves

60. Apocalypse Now [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Without question, I recommend Apocalypse Now to all movie fans. Despite my continued disdain for the third act, it deserves its status as a classic. The Blu-ray provides excellent audio and supplements; picture disappoints a little, but the movie still looks quite good. This ends up as easily the best home video representation of the film to date. Starri
