21. Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Live (9-DVD Set) (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One can quibble with some of the selections – and omissions – made by the Rock Hall of Fame over the decades, but I think they get it right the vast majority of the time. In addition, they bring together many of rock’s greatest stars to play on stage, a fact portrayed by the amazing lineup found across the nine discs of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Live. I

23. Manhunter (Single-Disc Edition) [Blu-Ray] (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I find it to be inferior to The Silence of the Lambs in almost every way, Manhunter offers a fairly interesting and scary look at the same issues. The movie suffers from some age-related problems - hate that Eighties look and sound! - but it generally overcomes these concerns and is moderately compelling. The Blu-ray gives us generally good visu

25. Hostiles [Blu-ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Rich and affecting, Hostiles offers a solid drama under the Western banner. A moving character piece, the film develops in a natural way and packs a powerful punch. Starring Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike. Lionsgate, $34.99, 4/28/2018.

26. Manhunter: Divimax Edition (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For those who want to see the “Director’s Cut” of Manhunter, this new edition is definitely worth a look. Starring William Petersen, Brian Cox. Anchor Bay, $19.98, 8/5/2003.

27. Tombstone [Blu-Ray] (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it certainly enjoys a mix of strengths, I find myself slightly disenchanted with Tombstone. Actually, “disenchanted” probably isn’t the right word, for there’s little here I can say I dislike. I simply don’t think the film leaves a strong impression; it gives us a good Western but not one that stands out as a classic. The Blu-ray provides very posi

28. Avatar [Blu-Ray 3D] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Avatar simply lacks much heart and power. It’s an enjoyable flick with excellent visuals but not one that packs a punch. Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana. Fox, $39.99, 10/16/2012.

29. Avatar [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Avatar doesn’t do a ton for me as a movie, I do enjoy it and think it’s become a “must-see” flick. The Blu-ray is a good way to check it out, though I’d recommend that established fans wait for the loaded SE due in late 2010. This is a nice representation of the movie itself, but I expect the SE will be a stunner and believe it’ll be worth the wait
