1. Be Cool (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It took them 10 years to make a sequel to Get Shorty and this was the best they could do? Despite some occasional humor, Be Cool usually comes across as dull and rambling. A few supporting performances add zest, but the leads seem surprisingly bland and they drag down a flick that needs as much life as possible. Starring John Travolta, Uma Thurman. MGM,

3. Kill Bill: Volume One (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I donít know if Kill Bill Volume 1 lives up to six years of expectations, but it provides a satisfying stew nonetheless. The movie mixes many different formats but holds them together surprisingly well to create a distinctive action flick. Starring Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu. Miramax, $29.99, 4/13/2004.

5. Paycheck: Special Collector's Edition [Blu-Ray] (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For those who know they like Paycheck, I think itís worth an upgrade from the DVD. I felt disappointed with that discís murky visuals, so the tighter picture quality found here pleased me. The image could use a good cleaning, but it remained pretty positive otherwise. Starring Ben Affleck, Uma Thurman. Paramount, $29.99, 5/19/2009.

6. Paycheck (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Not anywhere near as good as John Wooís best flicks but also not his worst effort, Paycheck comes across as a fairly average movie. Blessed with a clever story, it generally keeps us interested, but it never takes flight and becomes anything special. Starring Ben Affleck, Uma Thurman. Paramount, $29.99, 5/18/2004.

9. Kill Bill: Volume Two (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a wild tale of violence in the first film, we donít get much of the same in Kill Bill Volume 2. That will disappoint some, but it ends up making the story richer and with greater depth. Though Bill 2 lacks the ďin your faceĒ energy of the initial entry, it compensates with emotion and humanity.
