41. Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season Four [Blu-Ray] (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: From Seasons One through Three of Star Trek: The Next Generation, the series needed time to find itself, so distinct changes occurred from year to year. Those didn’t happen when we transitioned from Season Three to Season Four, but don’t regard that as a complaint; the program reached a high level of quality in Season Three, and it largely maintained tha

42. Moonraker (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Moore seems game as ever as Bond, but everything appears so stale and bland. Even the trademarked action sequences look uninspired and fail to rouse much excitement. I like the Bond pictures well enough I feel even a bad Bond still offers some fun, but Moonraker tests my loyalty. It’s probably the worst Bond flick ever made. Starring Roger Moore, Lois Ch

44. Transformers [4K UHD] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Of all summer 2007’s big-ticket movies, none let me down as much as Transformers. I thought it’d be an action-packed blast but instead it was messy, confused and downright boring. Starring Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox. Paramount, $29.99, 12/5/2017.

45. Transformers: Special Edition (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Of all summer 2007’s big-ticket movies, none let me down as much as Transformers. I thought it’d be an action-packed blast but instead it was messy, confused and downright boring. I can’t complain about this excellent DVD, though. It provides stellar picture and audio along with a lot of fine extras. If you liked the movie, you’ll be pleased with this te

46. Game Change [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not quite as riveting as the excellent Recount, Game Change nonetheless provides a highly entertaining piece of work. Abetted by a terrific lead performance from Julianne Moore, the film keeps us involved from start to finish. The Blu-ray delivers strong picture and decent audio but lacks notable bonus materials. Despite that, the movie brings the

47. Children Of Men [Blu-Ray] (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you want to take Children of Men as a political statement, it works that way. If you just want to see a tight little action thriller, it fares well in that direction too. The movie serves its various audiences to create a compelling piece of work. Starring Clive Owen, Julianne Moore. Universal, $9.98, 5/26/2009.

48. Torn Curtain (1966)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A younger Alfred Hitchcock might not have been able to knock a flawed tale like Torn Curtain out of the park, but I’m sure he could’ve done something with it. Unfortunately, the aging Hitch failed to bring anything special to this dull, plodding flick. The DVD offers perfectly acceptable audio and some interesting extras, but picture quality disappoints.

50. For Your Eyes Only (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe I’m too hard on For Your Eyes Only. It gets a lot of attention as one of the better Bond flicks, but I just don’t see it that way. This is an above-average movie but it doesn’t rank up there with the best Bonds. Starring Roger Moore, Carole Bouquet. MGM, $34.98, 10/19/1999.
